Burglary suspect sought

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Police want help solving a burglary.

Officers responded to Bash Pepper Roofing, at 12 North Hickory Street, in Champaign, about 10 am, Tuesday, October 2.

It was reported sometime overnight a male suspect entered the business through a locked gate and stole several tools worth $1,000+.

The suspect was caught in a surveillance image. He’s described as a middle-aged male, black, with a bald head and medium build. He was seen wearing white t-shirt and dark-colored pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters are always 100% completely anonymous.

All tips submitted to Crime Stoppers are electronically stripped of any personally identifying information and processed by a third-party answering service, not law enforcement.

Cash rewards up to $1,000 are paid for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters will never be asked their name and are given a secret code number to use when checking on a possible reward.
