Boneyard Arts Festival hits the county

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The county might look a little more colorful than usual. It’s because hundreds of people gave it an artistic flair for the annual Boneyard Arts Festival.

More than 90 venues across the county showcase the work of local artists. It’s meant to have something for someone of every age, background and interest.

One artist gave us a closer look at her work.

“I advertise you know like sign language. It’s like a universal thing and I always have done like sign and sign language and things like that and people really, you know, recieve that and they are into that and I do expensive and pieces and then smaller pieces,” said artist Kristine Fisher.

Fisher says one of her customer favorites is the monkey. It’s on a recycled window, and it’s signing “dream” on its head.
