UPDATE (9:00 a.m. 1/13/22) — The boil order has been lifted for the City of Villa Grove, officials said.

This means the boil order is lifted for both of the Deer Lake Subdivision and the Village of Camargo.

UPDATE (4:50 p.m. 1/10/22) — City officials just said another boil order is now issued for the Village of Camargo.

Both of these boil orders are in place until further notice.

Schools and many restaurants in town are closed due to the effect of the boil orders.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A boil order has been issued for the entire City of Villa Grove until further notice, due to a large main break.

According to City officials, at this time, this includes the Deer Lake Subdivision but not the Village of Camargo.

Once the water has been restored, it should be boiled prior to drinking or cooking.
