CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Some kids are getting ready for their first day of school Wednesday.
It’s when Barkstall and Kenwood elementary schools get back in session.
It’s the first full day for 1st – 5th graders. Kindergartners start Thursday.
Both schools follow a balanced calendar. All other schools in the district start August 16.
No schools in Urbana follow a balanced calendar.
