CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — For the first time ever, an entire building will be printed in 24-hours. The US Army Engineer Research and Development Center will be 3-D printing a 512-square foot structure.

It’s printed other buildings before, but this will be the first one done in one day. It’s being made of concrete. Leaders hope, in the future, this will reduce the amount of material the military will need.

Printing started about 3 pm, Wednesday. Thursday, we’ll see the final look.
