DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — An area man faces charges of armed robbery after being caught with the alleged weapon and stolen cash.
Police responded to McDonald’s, in the 100-block of North Bowman Avenue, about 11:50 pm, Wednesday.
An employee and several witnesses reported the suspect demanding money from the register while pointing a “something shiny” at the worker.
Police found 26-year old Cameron Creamer in the area of Bowman Avenue and Harvey Street after a resident called to report someone running from and hiding upon seeing police. He also matched the description of the suspect given by witnesses.
Authorities say a search of Creamer yielded a silver-colored knife and an undisclosed amount of cash. He’s being held on charges of armed robbery and resisting/obstructing justice.
