Apartment rep: “We followed protocol and procedures”

Local News

VILLA GROVE, Ill. (WCIA) — An apartment company responds after a dispute with one of its tenants. Connie Smith says she spent 12 hours during a heat advisory, without air conditioning.

She says her stove popped and the power went out. Thursday, a representative of Woda Cooper Companies says it followed protocol and resolved the issue immediately.

They said they sent the power company and an electrician. They also say they’ve been in contact with Smith about replacing or repairing her stove.
