MATTOON, Ill. (WCIA) — A local man faces charges of disorderly conduct for reportedly making “statements of an alarming or disturbing nature” to an employee of Arland D. Williams Elementary School.
38-year old Sabin Day-Humes was arrested about 6:45 pm, Thursday. Authorities say Day-Humes made the statements to the school employee by phone about three hours earlier in an anonymous phone call.
After the call, a school resource officer was notified and police began an investigation. The phone company identified the number as that of Day-Humes.
His bond is set at $10,000. He’s due back in court Wednesday. The nature of the comment was not released.
