CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A local woman was only on TV for about three seconds, but she became a viral sensation.
Friday, a WCIA-3 News camera crew covered a job fair at Urbana Schools. Ja’Naea Modest was there applying for a job, but she had no idea our crew was recording.
That is, until her friend’s father saw her on the 5 o’clock newscast. She posted a picture on Facebook, jokingly chewing us out because she hadn’t wanted her current employer to know she’s looking for a new job.
Tuesday, we told Modest, “Sorry about that.” Just a few days after her post, it’s been shared more than 50,000 times.
It even made Buzzfeed and the front page of Reddit, so, by now, she’s pretty sure her current employer knows she’s on the job hunt.
