MOWEAQUA, Ill. (WCIA) — The city’s ambulance service is officially closed.

EMT’s made their last call to the people of Christian and Shelby counties Tuesday morning.

Leaders say they don’t have enough volunteers and can’t afford to keep the service running.

The fire department and Decatur ambulance will now serve the area.
