Accused predator in custody

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities arrested a piano teacher wanted for criminal sexual assault.

An arrest warrant was issued about noon, Tuesday, and by 1:30 pm, Aaron Parlier, 36, of Pekin, was taken into custody in the 1300-block of Warriner Street, in Normal.

Authorities say Parlier gave piano lessons to children all over the Bloomington/Normal area for several years.

He faces charges of predatory criminal sexual assault on a victim less than 13-years of age and multiple counts of criminal sexual assault of victims 13 – 17 years of age.

Authorities say it’s an ongoing investigation and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact authorities. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward up to $1,000.
