CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — U of I officials say 28 year-old Brendt Christensen is a former graduate student.
He graduated from the university this past May with a masters in physics. He was a teaching assistant for intro physics classes at U of I. Students we talked to describe him as a reserved person. But they say he was nice and a helpful T.A. and U of I faculty who knew him say the same thing.
Lance Cooper – “I’ve received many many emails from faculty and students expressing shock that this happened. Those that knew him are quite surprised. There was no hint of something like this.”
Christensen was named an excellent teaching assistant for several semesters. That’s one of the reasons why this is coming as as such a shock to both students and faculty who knew him,.
