DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A local bakery is temporarily closed after being shut down by the Illinois Department of Revenue.
The state says the business certificate of registration for Red Door Cakes has been revoked.
The owner says it was just an accounting mistake based on annual returns for the year. She’s working with the Department of Revenue.
A sign on the door states it’s temporarily closed for food service and should reopen next week. It’s when the business certificate is expected to be processed.
She said all custom orders and any remaining desserts are still available. The bakery has been open for just over a year.
