MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — A 3rd grader told police a man in a white van tried to give him candy.
The boy says he was walking home from a friend’s house and crossed the street when the van pulled up next to him. The driver rolled down the window and asked if he wanted candy.
The boy says he ignored the man because that’s what his mom taught him. His next worry was his brother.
Police say a report was filed. The mom just wants other parents and kids to be aware.
