CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — People who are interested in learning more about law enforcement can take part in Citizen’s Police Academy.
In its 32nd year, the academy helps people better understand police work.
The class covers crime prevention, community-based policing, drugs, gangs, firearms orientation, plus much more, including a tour of the Champaign County Jail and patrol ride-along.
The agencies involved also seek feedback from those who take part. Where you live determines which agency you contact to register.
