VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Two people were hurt in a dual-semi-truck accident. It happened about 5 am, Tuesday, on I-74 eastbound, near Milepost 213.
The first semi-truck lost control of its double bottom rear trailer. It struck a guardrail and rolled into the left lane.
The second semi tried to avoid hitting the first rig and swerved to the left. It entered the median and eventually hit a concrete bridge railing.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts. No tickets were issued. Weather is being blamed as a factor.
