DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Police are investigating two separate armed robberies of area delivery drivers. Both happened Tuesday night, about a mile apart from one another.

The first happened about 9:45 pm, Tuesday, in the 300-block of Fairchild. A Jimmy John’s employee told officers he was robbed while making a delivery in the unit block of Center Street.

The employee told police a male, black, wearing a red hoodie and armed with a black handgun, demanded money and food, but only took the food before running away.

An hour later, about 10:45 pm, police responded to a report of an armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver in the 1200-block of Sherman Street.

The employee told police a male, black, wearing a red hoodie and armed with a black handgun, demanded money and food. He fled with both, running southwest towards Sheridan Street.

No one was hurt during either hold-up.
