CHARLESTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Two men faces charges for possession of stolen property, while one faces an additional charge of obstructing justice.

Phillip Vandiver, 29, and Timothy Golden, 27, were arrested Wednesday and Thursday respectively for a residential burglary on December 29, 2018. Authorities say electronics equipment was stolen from a home while the owner was away.

Investigators traced the internet usage of the electronics to the victim’s neighbors (Vandiver and Golden) who were arrested after a search of their residence turned up most of the stolen items.

While executing one of two search warrants, Golden tried to get other people to take and hide the stolen items. It led to his additional charge of obstructing justice.
