MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA)– People spent some time reflecting on US history. The Museum of the Grand Prairie at Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve had its 12th annual Lincoln Lecture Series. From late September until early November guest lecturers come in to talk about Lincoln’s impact on the nation.
The speaker for the event says he’s spent decades collecting Lincoln memorabilia and Lincoln is an important historical figure he wants others to know about. Some upcoming events at the museum include a Garden Lecture Series and History on Tap.
