DANVILLE — This Kid to Know just wants to make people smile.
After hearing how someone helped out others on the news, Charleigh Collom wanted to do the same. The 9-year old started collecting money to give stuffed animals to sick children.
She donated her money and her mom added to it. Then, others heard about her drive and they did the same. Charlie blew past her goal of $350 to keep the littlest patients from being scared.
She ended up raising $720. Her mother’s employer matched it for a total of almost $1,500. That’s a lot of stuffed animals handed over with love!
