TOLONO — He had a rocky start to life. Now, this Kid to Know is making sure others get the help he did.
16-years ago, Adam Munds was born, but he had a condition which made it difficult for his blood to clot. It could have killed him.
Adam had to have blood transfusions to get him healthy again. Flash forward to Monday night. Adam celebrated his birthday by hosting a donor drive at Monical’s.
In fact, he’s held many over the years, helping collect more than 10 gallons. What made this one different? Adam was finally old enough to donate himself.
Not only has Adam helped collect blood, he’s also raised nearly $8,000 for Community Blood Services of Illinois. Leaders say they’re forever grateful for his support of their mission.
