ILLINOIS — Chris Kennedy has thrown his hat in the race for governor and says he blames current Governor Bruce Rauner for destroying the state’s economy.

The Democratic businessman says Rauner’s turnaround agenda is not helping people.

With the state not having a full budget for 19-months, Kennedy says the state should not be run like a business. It needs to focus more on the people’s needs.

Kennedy also says he’s not worried about the millions of dollars Rauner has invested in his campaign.
