SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Almost 100 veterans visited the nation’s capitol with Honor Flight 58.

The group of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam War veterans left Springfield’s Capital Airport early Tuesday morning. They spent the day visiting the memorials in Washington, D.C. and returned late that night.

As always, the day was free for those who served their country.
