Governor grants pardons for past marijuana offenses

ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Governor Pritzker has granted more than 11,000 pardons in 92 counties for past convictions of marijuana offenses.

It is part of the law that took effect Wednesday. Statewide, more than 11,000 records will be eligible for expungement, but the process will take a few years.
