Gas prices drop, still higher than last month

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Driving around the state is costing you a little less, at least this last week. Gas prices dropped almost $.09 in Champaign. They’re not averaging $2.55 a gallon.

But according to gasbuddy.com, it’s over $.09 higher than a month ago. The good news is it’s more than $.32 less than a year ago.

The national average for a gallon is $2.65.
