FISHER, Ill. (WCIA) — A farming operation north of Fisher was damaged by a tornado on Monday.

Kevin Lawrence tells WCIA he watched it after it left his farm. His 12-year-old son Cody was inside the shed and is lucky to be alive.

The south wall of the shed was blown in, right where Cole was standing. He was blown to the back of the shed, but was uninjured and ran to get help.

The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down. Wind engineers from the University of Illinois are also assessing the damage.
