DACC hikes tuition in absence of state $$

News

DANVILLE — Danville Area Community College is raising its tuition for the third year in a row.

Tuesday night, the Board of Trustees voted to increase the cost by $10/credit hour.

Leaders say the tuition hike will make up for the lack of state funding.

DACC estimates the hike in tuition will generate about $400,000 in revenue to cover the costs of faculty salaries and general operations.
