City one step closer to getting license plate reading cameras


DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The City of Danville is looking to buy more than 2 dozen license plate reading cameras.

Tuesday night, the Public Services Committee voted unanimously for the purchase and placement of 30 cameras around the city. They will cost $85,000. The annual subscription cost would be over $77,000.

It will go to full council next Tuesday.
