Central Illinois population changes in U.S. Census

CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — U.S. Census officials released information regarding population changes in Illinois.

According to our partners at The Herald & Review, several large cities in central Illinois increased while some decreased.

  • Champaign: +7,247 (88,302)
  • Urbana: -2,914 (38,336)
  • Decatur: -5,600 (70,522)
  • Springfield: -1,856 (114,394)
  • Danville: -3,832 (29,204)
