SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (NEXSTAR) — Capitol Connection moderator Mark Maxwell has this week’s episode.

Former Legislative Inspector General Julie Porter joins Capitol Connection this week to describe why she believes current lawmakers are engaged in a cover up of “serious wrongdoing.” Porter claims state leaders buried the findings of her investigations into sitting elected officials. 

State Board of Elections spokesman Matt Dietrich joined moderator Mark Maxwell with updates on the latest headaches in the automatic voter registration program, as early voting gets underway in Illinois.

Dave Dahl from WTAX and Rebecca Anzel from Capitol News Illinois joined our Reporters Roundtable to react to Governor Pritzker’s call for Illinois to replace Iowa as the first state in the nation to nominate a presidential candidate.
