CHAMPAIGN — One group got together Saturday to talk about changes they’d like to see in education. Edcamp CU gave people the chance to talk about what’s happening in area schools.
Professors, elementary teachers and parents could bring up any topic of their choice. Organizers say the goal is to have open conversations about anything they think needs to change.
“The whole point is to try to bring together in this community. We have great school districts in Champaign and Urbana and really wonderful people at the university, but often they do their work separate from each other. There’s lots of ways that they come together, but this is another more informal space for them to come together,” said Katrina Kennett.
The group meets a few times a year. It’s open to anyone who wants to join the conversation.
