Budget cuts could force lake closures

SHELBYVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Parts of Lake Shelbyville will have to close next year if a proposed federal budget cut is approved.

The three areas are Lone Point, Oppossum Creek and Whitley Creek.

The U.S Army Crops of Engineers said the boat ramps would stay open unless they are misused or vandalized.
