Blood drive in man’s honor

News

ASHMORE — A blood drive will be held in memory of a Coles County man.

Kyle Updegraff was a 39-year old Charleston man who suffered complications from the H1N1 virus. He died from a major blood vessel tear last year.

People are honoring him by hosting the second blood drive in his name. Those helping organize it say he’s missed by many.

The drive is Wednesday, March 8, at the Ashmore Community Center, between 1 – 7 pm.
