Back to back NYC Marathon winner


NEW YORK (AP) — University of Illinois wheelchair athlete Daniel Romanchuk continued his dominance today.

Romanchuk defended his title at the New York City Marathon Sunday.

The 21-year-old became the first American to win the race in back-to-back years.

The former Parkland College student trains at the U of I.

Romanchuk earlier this year won major marathons in Boston, London and Chicago.
