DANVILLE — Police are investigating the armed robbery of an area restaurant. They responded to Kentucky Fried Chicken, at 12 North Bowman, about 8:30 am, Monday.
A man entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded money from employees. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a man, black, about 25-years old, 5’9″, 160 lbs. He was wearing a gray hoodie and mask over his face. No one was hurt.
This is the third armed robbery of an area restaurant since late October. Popeye’s, in the 3500-block of North Vermilion Street, was robbed at gunpoint twice in two-and-a-half weeks after its opening. The hold-ups happened about 6:30 am, Thursday, October 20, and 11:30 pm, Wednesday, November 2.
