CHAMPAIGN — Damage to a plot of crops Thursday morning looks like it was caused by a hailstorm, but you didn’t sleep through any severe weather.
The damage was done on purpose, by hand. It’s to teach insurance adjusters about evaluating crops after a storm.
It’s an important concept to master in an area so prone to bad weather.
The class taught adjusters and farmers from all over the state through a partnership between Country Financial and UI.
