ILLINOIS — People with disabilities and their families will now be able to save more money, tax-free.
Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) lets people with disabilities sign up for a savings account with as little as $25.
Before this, people were restricted with how much money they could save.
It’s a collaboration with 13 other states to improve the lives of the disabled.
State Treasurer Michael Frerichs (D) says families can start signing up in February.
