2 arrested for carjacking

DANVILLE — Two people face charges for a carjacking. It happened about 7 pm, Saturday, at Walmart, in the 4100-block of North Vermilion Street.

Police say a woman reported going into the store and leaving her children in the car. When she came out, her children said they had been forced out of the car and a couple had stolen the vehicle. No one was hurt.

The vehicle was later found in Indianapolis, IN, and two people were arrested.

24-year old Dwayne Jackson, of Peoria, and 22-year old Julia Hill, of Chillicothe, are being held in Indiana on $100,000 on charges of vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle.
