School board votes no to staff carrying guns on campus


MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — On Monday night, the school board voted not to support state legislation that would allow school employees to carry a concealed weapon on campus. 

Each year The Illinois Association of School Boards gathers for a conference in Chicago where delegates vote on issues the organization will pursue in upcoming legislative sessions. This year a vote will be held November 23rd.
