Sheriff: Inmate visits suspended

Coronavirus

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Inmate visits have been suspended in Christian County.

The sheriff said this is because the positivity rate is going up throughout the county.

Right now, it is 3.7 percent. It is still below the state’s target of 8 percent, but the county is hitting one of the state’s warning metrics with 89 cases per 100,000 people.
