Health department: 21 new COVID-19 cases in county

MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The Macon County Health Department reported 21 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

In a news release, officials said in total,675 people in the county have tested positive for COVID-19. Of those total cases, 339 have been released from isolation and 297 remain isolated at home.

As of Wednesday, there are 15 people in the county that are hospitalized with the virus.
