County reports 28 new COVID-19 cases


MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The Macon County Health Department reported 28 new COVID-19 cases in the county.

In a news release, officials said there is a total of 551 COVID-19 cases in Macon County, including 24 deaths. Of those total cases, 328 patients have been released from isolation while 191 remain isolated at home.

As of Thursday, eight residents with the virus are hospitalized.
