We’re excited to have the music of Taylor Steele & the Love Preachers on the City Center Stage!
Taylor delivers in a silky style everyone can enjoy. Bluegrass was her first influence, then classic rock, folk, and blues closely followed. Her sound has been described to show the collective influences of Gillian Welch, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, and even Bob Dylan. Other influences date back to the sounds of Hank Williams Sr. and Pete Seeger.
It is evident in her performances that she is passionate about the words she puts to melody. Still quite young, her songwriting is mature and holds deep feeling. Her blues and folk influences are shown easily through her unique finger picking style.
She started writing songs when she was 11 years old. Many of the songs to come on her band’s first studio album under Taylor Steele & the Love Preachers in 2019, she wrote between ages 14-19!
Taylor has a comfortable stage presence and fits as entertainment for any event!
She lives in Effingham, IL with a part time job selling tickets in the box office at the Effingham Performance Center, doubling as an apprentice in social media management with Amber a Go Go.
She also is a music mentor and gives guitar and songwriting lessons to kids through Tri-Music in Flora, IL.
