Runners on a Mission for St. Jude Kids

If you’re looking for a run that will not only inspire you but make a difference.  Happening in your community Champaign to Peoria St Jude Run.

Annessa Parisi, run coordinator and Jon Rector, a runner share more.

A group of runners who run from Champaign Peoria raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The 2018 run takes place on August 3 – 4.   Runners leave downtown Champaign on August 3 and make our way into Peoria. They will meet up with 36 other runs in downtown Peoria on August 4. There will be roughly, 4000, runners who will kickoff the 2018 St. Jude Telethon.

The runners and volunteers of the Champaign St. Jude Run leave from downtown Champaign each year.  It’s such a thrill to hear the encouraging cheers and claps of well-wishers and downtown patrons.  It helps energize us for the long night and miles ahead of us.

St. Jude’s mission is to find cures for children with cancer and life-threatening diseases through research and treatment.  And no family ever pays St. Jude for anything.  This on-going mission cannot function without donations and the efforts of supporters who spend a lot of time and energy to help make the difference for the families of children with devastating illnesses.
