Our 18th Street Farmers Market will start on Saturday, May 18 and run every Saturday through September 28. The market is open from 8:00 am to Noon and offers a variety of vendors who sell fresh, local produce, honey products, home-baked goods, flowers/plants, and handcrafted items. Most Saturdays, we will have 18 to 20 vendors. Music at the Market highlights the musical talents of several local musicians.
We sell quality, used furniture, home decor, and handcrafted items on consignment. Our pricing is established with input from the consignor, our own research, and our experience selling similar items. We also believe in promoting other local businesses with special activities and events. The 18th Street Block Party, the 18th Street Fall Festival, and the 18th Street Farmers market are examples of specific activities that we organize.
Shoppers visit Home Again Consignment Shop to look for quality, used furniture, to get ideas for furnishing and decorating their home or apartment, to inquire about the professor selling their items on consignment. Additionally, we provide suggestions for creative uses, repurposing, and the up cycling of particular furniture. Shoppers also ask about specific techniques that we use for these projects.
We really don’t look at other businesses as competition. We see them as partners that offer a different kind of inventory. In fact, we publish a map that shows the location of area businesses, as well as address, phone number, and business hours. We encourage our shoppers to support the other area businesses. We feel that each business is unique and local small business owners must recognize the current obstacles facing brick and mortar shops and support one another.
