Getting to Know Ferrets


     Enjoy several events coming up this Fall at Scovill Zoo.

       A Walk on the Wild Side, adult fundraising event for the zoo.  It will feature music, food, sculptures, and animal encounters.  $75 per person.  The money raised goes to future zoo exhibits.  The penguin exhibit is an example of a gala supported project.

        Fall Hours: 9:30 – 5:00 Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, last admission one hour before closing.

        Grandparents Day, September 9, Grandparents enter free with paying child or adult, Activities 1:00 – 4:00 include the ever popular cake walk, stump the keeper, and other games.

        Family Camp out, September 14, bring your tent and sleeping bag and camp out inside the zoo.  Dinner and breakfast provided.  Activities in the evening and morning.  $30 per person.

        Saturday Zoo Buzz: This fall and winter, Scovill Zoo will offer a series of adult zoo sessions called Saturday Zoo Buzz at the Scovill Zoo Education Center.  Join us the first Saturday of every month beginning September 1, at 9 a.m. for coffee, snacks, and presentations by zoo professionals from around Illinois. Topics are listed below. Fee is $5.  Preregistration is encouraged.
