Young Horseback Rider Getting National Recognition

A young horseback rider from Mahomet is getting some big time recognition in the world of equestrian sports. Katelyn Dasenbrock has been riding for several years at Lowry Stables in Seymour, and has seen her knowledge of horseback riding grow tremendously.

Recently, Dasenbrock traveled to a world championship horse show in Oklahoma, where she received several significant accolades, including winning the title of Grand Champion in her age group in equestrian events, as well as finishing in the top five for the Morgan English Pleasure Walk Trot events.

ciLiving’s Ryan Burk spoke with Katelyn and her trainer to see how their preparation has helped lead them to achieving this unique honors.
