URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — An area band wants to help make memories for future musicians. The Urbana High School Bands will host their Cash Bash this coming Sunday in the school cafetorium.
There will be raffle items, silent auction items from stores throughout east central Illinois, food, entertainment, and a big 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $25 and you don’t have to be present to win. Proceeds will go to help the band in its endeavors, provide scholarships for students to defray the cost of attending trips, and fulfill the band’s “wish list,” which includes everyday items like oil to more exotic items like a sousaphone.
This is the second year for the event. WCIA’s Matt Metcalf will emcee.
