Tuscola Public Library Highlights Female Inspired Books


The Tuscola Public Library showcased several books about strong women in honor of Women’s History Month.

Devin Black, Director of Tuscola Public Library, showed off America’s Women: 400 Years of Dolls; Drudges, Helpmates, and Heroines; Rejected Princesses: Tales of History’s Boldest Heroines, Hellions & Heretics; Alabama Spitfire: The Story of Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird; and Malala’s Magic Pencil. Black said there are many female inspired books at the library, both fiction and nonfiction.

The Tuscola Rotary Club is putting on a Daddy-Daughter Dance to benefit the Health Department’s Summer Food Program. The Dance is April 7th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tuscola Community Building.
