Made in Illinois: Watchfire Signs

If you cruise the highways through cities large and small, chances are you have passed a giant LED billboard. While these giant boards light up the sky from coast to coast, you may have never realized that most begin their lives in Vermilion County thanks to Watchfire Signs.
Since the 1930’s Watchfire (previously known as Time-O-Matic until the 2000’s) has been producing lighted signs in Central Illinois. They occupy a giant warehouse in Danville, where all facets of the manufacturing process take place, from wiring and electronics to welding the billboards together.
“It’s such a point of pride for us to be a part of the Vermilion County Community. To have been here so long and part of Illinois since 1932.” Says Watchfire Human Resources Director Ann Marie Cross
